One of the most important items for the Yosakoi Festival is Naruko(Clappers) which dancers carry in their hands. People dance in Kochi city from street to street using the music of Yosakoi-bushi(an ancient ballad in Kochi). Nowadays not only traditional sounds but also Rock'n Roll and Samba styled music is used for the festival and the use of very colorful costumes attracts people. Old and young, men and women participate in this festival together.

This festival will be broadcast on television by RKC Kochi Broadcasting Corp.(Kochi, President Mr.Sachio Yoshimura) in Kochi on Aug.10 and Aug.11. NTT DoCoMo Shikoku(Takamatsu, Kanagawa prefecture; president Mr.Toshihiko Egaki) introduce the festival with mobile data transfer system with the project. Using MobileView which was developed by NTT DoCoMo, we will provide image and sound which is taken by a video camera. MobileView is the system that you can carry to take image and sound so you can send the aspect of the city to them vividly.
